Faced with the recent barrage of insults and criticism from the community, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin seems to have reached his breaking point. He expressed himself today on X in a tone distinct from his usual demeanor, stating:
“The person who decides on the new leadership team of the Ethereum Foundation (EF) is me. One of the goals of the current reforms is to establish a ‘formal board’ for the EF, but until that is implemented, everything is decided by me.”
Furthermore, Vitalik indicated that if the community continues to pressure the Foundation, it would be creating an environment that is extremely detrimental to top talent.
“Recently, some of Ethereum’s best developers have privately messaged me, expressing their disdain for the current social media environment, which is perpetuated by people like you. You make my work much harder.”
Additionally, Vitalik even mentioned that this malicious criticism has made him completely uninterested in acting according to their demands. He subsequently attached numerous tweets from the community, labeling these individuals as “purely evil.”
