Vitalik Exchanges 13 Meme Coins for 340,000 Euros and Donates all Proceeds to Charitable Organizations

According to the information shared by online data analyst Yujin, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin sold a total of 13 meme coins today, exchanging them for a total of 346,000 USDC. Some tokens experienced significant declines due to their small market value and shallow liquidity pools. For example, DINU dropped by 68% and JSHIBA dropped by 38%. Subsequently, Vitalik donated all the USDC to Kanro, a charity organization focused on biotechnology.

Vitalik’s wallet address often receives airdrops from meme coin issuers, and he regularly clears out these meme coins and uses the funds for charitable purposes. The most famous example was in 2021 when Vitalik donated the 50 trillion SHIB he received to the “India Covid Relief Fund” address of Polygon founder Sandeep Nailwal. At that time, these tokens were worth approximately 1.2 billion US dollars.
