Bored Ape NFT creator Yuga Labs announced on Wednesday (17th) that they will collaborate with game studio Faraway to release a new version of their survival challenge game, “Dookey Dash Unclogged,” in the first quarter of this year.

Unlike the previous version, “Dookey Dash Unclogged” will be available for free to all players. However, players who hold Yuga Labs-related NFT collections such as Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, Kodas, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and HV-MTL Forge will be eligible to receive “token rewards” through the game.

The game teaser released by Yuga Labs features the logo of their ecosystem token, ApeCoin (APE), suggesting that the token will be distributed as rewards. However, a Yuga Labs representative declined to provide further details on this matter, according to Decrypt’s report.

The new version of the game will be released on systems such as iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows, indicating that it will no longer be a web-based game.

An overseas influencer named “The Fortnite Guy” participated in the game testing of the new version of Dookey Dash and Yuga Labs’ game committee. He stated on Tuesday that the game is expected to be launched in mid-February, and specific Yuga NFT holders may acquire more NFTs through the game. Additionally, he revealed that another Yuga game is scheduled for release in April.
