Coinbase Resumes Support for Users in Taiwan, Resolving Celsius Creditor Claims!

According to previous reports by Zombit, the bankrupt cryptocurrency lending company Celsius has started distributing cryptocurrency debts to its creditors. According to documents submitted to the court at that time, Celsius has distributed $2 billion worth of cryptocurrencies through PayPal/Venmo and Coinbase, transferring 20,255.66 BTC and 301,338.77 ETH to 171,672 creditors.

However, at that time, Taiwan was not within the service range supported by Coinbase, resulting in many Taiwanese creditors being unable to accept Celsius’ bankruptcy claims through the exchange.

But the good news is that Coinbase seems to have recently resumed its services for users in Taiwan. Zombit confirmed the authenticity of this news after inquiring with Coinbase. Coinbase replied to Zombit:

However, it should be noted that previously registered accounts cannot be accessed, and users must register again and submit proof of residence documents to complete the registration process. In addition, users who want to accept Celsius claims through Coinbase must use the same email, name, address, and date of birth as Celsius to ensure seamless distribution of the claims.
