Injective Launches inEVM Mainnet to Foster Interoperability Across Ethereum, Cosmos, and Solana

Layer 1 blockchain Injective announced on Thursday (7th) that its compatible Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Rollup solution, Injective EVM (inEVM), has been launched on the mainnet. Injective states that the network was developed in partnership with Rollup provider Caldera, making it the first EVM Rollup that “enables true composability across Cosmos and Solana.”

The launch of inEVM aligns with Injective’s strategy to establish an “Electro Chains” network, aiming to expand the Injective Layer 2 ecosystem and enhance blockchain interoperability. inEVM allows Ethereum developers to deploy their applications on Injective without modifying their code, such as decentralized exchanges.

According to Injective’s statement, Celestia will serve as the Data Availability (DA) layer for inEVM, while Pyth will act as the oracle provider. Projects that have already been launched on the inEVM mainnet include lending protocol TimeSwap and on-chain options protocol Thetanauts.

Injective Labs initiated a $150 million ecosystem fund in early last year, with participating institutions including Pantera, Jump Crypto, Kraken Ventures, Kucoin Ventures, and Delphi Labs.
