Encryption risk investment company Paradigm’s security officer, Samczsun, announced the formation of a powerful cryptocurrency ecosystem security alliance called SEAL Org. According to the introduction, the organization is able to assist cryptocurrency users affected by hacker attacks or other cybersecurity incidents around the clock. Additionally, the platform will provide legal protection to white hat hackers during fund rescue operations and offer free “red team drills” to web3 developers. These drills simulate enemy network attacks on organizational systems to identify vulnerabilities and develop effective response strategies.
Samczsun stated that even during the Nomad cross-chain bridge attack incident (involving up to $190 million), many capable and well-intentioned white hat hackers were unable to intervene and save the funds due to factors such as legal frameworks. This led to his idea of bringing together the power of well-intentioned white hat hackers to create a security alliance.
According to its website, organizations and partners who have donated to the security alliance include the Ethereum Foundation, a16z crypto, Paradigm, Vitalik Buterin, Filecoin Foundation, Coinbase, Dragonfly, Framework, and Electric Capital.
Furthermore, the CTO of web3 security company SlowMist is also a member of SEAL Org, and SlowMist’s founder, Yu Xian, has called for support on social platforms.
