Taiwan Mobile Takes the Lead in Crypto Industry with Regulatory Approval for AntiMoney Laundering Compliance

According to the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), the list of virtual currency platform operators that have completed their anti-money laundering (AML) compliance statements has been updated today, with the number of operators increasing from 25 to 26. Surprisingly, the company that has completed the AML compliance statement this year is Taiwan Mobile, a subsidiary of Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd.

The latest company to complete the AML compliance statement is Fusheng Digital Co., Ltd., whose CEO is Lin Zhi Chen, the General Manager of Taiwan Mobile and also the Chairman and Partner of AppWorks, an accelerator. Further investigation reveals that all members of the board of directors and supervisors of Fusheng Digital Co., Ltd. are from Taiwan Mobile. Among them, Director Han Kunju previously worked at PChome and played a crucial role in the development of Pi Wallet and P Coin ecosystem. Supervisor Cai Qiyan, on the other hand, previously served as the Chief Technology Officer at Standard Chartered Bank and is currently the Chief Information Officer of Taiwan Mobile, responsible for the group’s IT transformation.

On the other hand, trademark information registered by Fusheng Digital Co., Ltd. indicates that the company plans to launch a cryptocurrency exchange called OPcrypto, as well as related asset management services.
