He then executed seven long trades involving Ethereum (ETH) and Hyperliquid’s platform token HYPE, all of which were profitable, netting him $669,600.
Subsequently, he invested all the funds in his account ($6.7 million) to purchase 218,866 $HYPE tokens and staked them, with an average buying price of $30.63. As $HYPE has continued to rise recently, the value of this batch of $HYPE has increased to $8.2 million, indicating that Huang Li Cheng achieved over $2.1 million in profit within a week.
May 24, 21:50 Update:
However, Huang Li Cheng’s investment operations have not always been smooth sailing. In the past, he made significant bets on several emerging cryptocurrency projects but faced substantial losses. According to a previous report by Zombit, he spent a total of 5,211 ETH in 2024 to purchase 11.16 million native tokens of Friend.Tech, FRIEND. Unexpectedly, the team behind the social platform suddenly relinquished control of the smart contract, causing the price of FRIEND to plummet, and Huang Li Cheng’s holdings shrank to 278 ETH at that time, resulting in an unrealized loss exceeding $15 million.
Moreover, reports indicate that Huang Li Cheng also made heavy bets on the NFT market’s token BLUR from Blur, as well as the token BLAST from the Ethereum Layer 2 network Blast, suffering losses of approximately $3.16 million and $1.5 million, respectively, in July of last year. Both Blur and Blast were founded by Pacman.
