The Number of Merchants Accepting Bitcoin Triples in the Past Year, Japanese E-commerce Platform Mercari Joins the List

According to a report by Nikkei News, Mercari, Japan’s largest online flea market, has announced that it will start accepting Bitcoin (BTC) payments from June this year. The prices of flea market items are displayed in Japanese yen, but buyers can choose Bitcoin as a payment method. It is said that the company will process Bitcoin payments through its cryptocurrency subsidiary, Melcoin, located in Tokyo.
