Recently, the 3A game platform SkyArk received over 50,000 ETH in its Genesis NFT sales event. It is reported that SkyArk is a 3A chain game project based on opBNB, and the game developer behind it, SkyArk Studio, recently announced that it has raised $15 million in funding led by Binance Labs.
However, after the conclusion of the Genesis NFT sales event, Binance Labs suddenly issued a statement clarifying that while SkyArk is indeed a project incubated and invested in by Binance Labs in 2021, Binance Labs did not participate in the latest round of funding claimed by the SkyArk team. The financing announcement previously released by SkyArk has also been taken down.
The community’s reaction to Binance Labs’ sudden statement has been quite intense, with many questioning why Binance Labs chose to clarify the funding news only after the NFT sales event ended.
