Ethereum Layer 2 network, Starknet, announced on Tuesday (30th) that it will collaborate with the modular blockchain project Celestia to achieve high throughput Layer 3 network. Starknet believes that using Celestia as a modular data availability layer (DA) on the Starknet network to settle high throughput application chains (Appchains) “is a game-changing combination,” and their goal is to “cooperate in porting Celestia Blobstream to the Cairo language for use on Starknet.”
Blobstream is an Ethereum data availability solution launched by Celestia Labs, which allows Ethereum developers to easily create high throughput Layer 2 applications, similar to developing smart contracts, by committing to the Celestia data root through an on-chain light client relay.
