According to online data, after the end of the first quarter of 2024, the Bitcoin wallet address of Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, received 8,888.88 Bitcoins on April 1st, worth approximately 627 million US dollars. As of now, Tether holds 75,354.8 Bitcoins, with a total value of about 5.3 billion US dollars.

According to a previous report by Zombit, Tether announced in May last year the implementation of a Bitcoin buy-in plan, using 15% of its net profits to regularly purchase Bitcoins.
