Previously, Casey Rodamor, the creator of the Bitcoin Inscription (Ordinal) Protocol and the Runes Protocol, had made a solemn vow in March, stating that if the market value of the Rune ecosystem did not reach 1 billion US dollars within one month after its release, he would commit ritual suicide by disembowelment.
However, according to data from geniidata, the Rune Protocol has been online for one month, but the speculative activities did not meet expectations. The market value only reached 927 million US dollars after one month, failing to surpass the 1 billion US dollar mark.
In response to this, Casey Rodamor posted on X, stating that he would fulfill his promise and commit ritual suicide by disembowelment in the next episode of his recorded podcast, “Hell Money”:
“Sorry, folks, it’s over. Please stay tuned for the next episode of Hell Money podcast. I will perform ritual suicide in this episode, and then Erin (another host of the show) will behead me to end my suffering.”
