This “poisoning” method is a common tactic used in on-chain phishing attacks. The attacker transfers a very small amount of cryptocurrency to a wallet address that is similar to the victim’s address, and once the victim relaxes their guard and copies the fake address during the transfer, they fall into the trap and proactively transfer the funds to the attacker’s controlled fake address.
