Ethereum Team Leader Criticizes PeerDAS Upgrade for Deviating from Decentralization Spirit
According to The Block, Péter Szilágyi, the head of the Ethereum development team, expressed his concerns about the direction of Ethereum blockchain development on X yesterday.
Péter Szilágyi’s concern is about the PeerDAS proposal for Ethereum, which includes some other changes such as increasing Ethereum’s blobs size to 32 MB. Péter Szilágyi believes that the PeerDAS upgrade will hinder household nodes (usually equipped with simpler computing setups) from participating in the Ethereum network, which goes against the decentralized spirit of blockchain.
