According to representatives from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and FTX Digital Markets (FDM), an email was sent to creditors to provide an update on the liquidation process.
The email reiterated that clients of FTX or FTX International have the option to file claims in either the Bahamian or US bankruptcy proceedings, and regardless of the choice, they can expect to receive similar claim amounts around the same time. Additionally, the liquidators stated in the email:
For clients who have submitted claims in the Bahamian proceedings, the liquidators of FTX Digital Markets will send a letter in the future to confirm whether clients wish to continue having their claims managed, processed, adjudicated, and resolved in the Bahamas. Clients who have not yet submitted claims in the Bahamian process can submit their claims before the deadline, which is currently expected to be in mid-August 2024.
