Cryptocurrency columnist Tiffany Fong recently interviewed the founder of bankrupt exchange FTX, SBF, who is currently detained at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. Fong shared the only photo of SBF taken around Christmas last year (December 17, 2023), as photos are only allowed on Christmas and Father’s Day in prison. In the photo, SBF appears noticeably thinner compared to before.

During the interview, G Lock, a former member of the Bloods gang and SBF’s cellmate, mentioned that SBF dislikes taking showers, keeps a large beard, and dresses sloppily. However, overall, he is a good person. Fong also asked G Lock if SBF avoids showering because he is afraid of incidents involving dropping the soap. G Lock laughed and said that was something that only happened in the 1990s.

Furthermore, G Lock showered SBF with praise, stating that he is not the kind of person who would snitch and even compared him favorably to American rapper Tekashi69, known as “69 the Great Demon.”
