According to a report by Cointelegraph, blockchain detective ZachXBT shared data indicating that at least 12 memecoins, which were pre-sold on the Solana blockchain, have been “completely abandoned” after raising a total of $26.7 million from investors in the past 30 days.
In an article published on the X platform on Monday (22nd), ZachXBT mentioned 12 Solana memecoin projects that raised funds through controversial pre-sale methods. Several of these projects experienced significant price drops after their launch, and one project seems to have never even launched its token.
The pre-sale project that raised the most funds and was “abandoned” is called “I Like This Coin” (token: LIKE). Its anonymous founder, pokeee.eth, raised a massive amount of 52,220 SOL (equivalent to approximately $8.1 million at the current price) for the project. On March 17th, LIKE token was launched with a market value of $577 million. However, the value of this memecoin quickly plummeted, dropping more than 90% within the first 8 hours. The founder, pokeee.eth, has not mentioned the coin since March 31st.
According to ZachXBT’s statistics, the second-largest abandoned pre-sale project issued a token called MOONKE. Its anonymous founder, RockyXBT, launched it on March 20th with an estimated valuation of nearly $500 million. However, it followed a similar path as the LIKE token, experiencing a drop of over 99% within a few hours.
