According to the official announcement, decentralized stablecoin protocol Ethena has announced that it will launch the airdrop event for its governance token ENA on April 2nd, and it has been revealed that it will be listed on centralized exchanges at that time.
Ethena (ENA) will issue a total of 15 billion tokens, with 30% allocated to core contributors and investors (locked for 1 year), 25% allocated to ecological and economic development, and 15% allocated to the Ethena Foundation. It is reported that the initial circulating supply of ENA will be 1.425 billion tokens, and the total amount of this airdrop is approximately 750 million tokens.
The eligibility and quantity for the airdrop will be calculated based on Ethena Shard activity points (in addition, holders of SchizoPosters and Redacted Remilio Babies NFTs will also be eligible for the airdrop). The event is expected to end on April 1st, and any users who cancel their pledge, unlock, or sell any USDe before this date will not be eligible for the airdrop. The airdrop distribution will take place on April 2nd, and eligible participants will have 30 days to withdraw. Any unclaimed ENA tokens after this period will be reallocated to users in the second quarter event.
It should be noted that among the more than 90,000 users who qualify for the ENA distribution, wallet addresses ranked in the top 2000 based on points and Pendle’s YT token holders will be subject to lock-up restrictions. Initially, 50% will be released, and the remaining 50% will be unlocked linearly over the next six months. Wallet addresses ranked after 2000 will not have any lock-up restrictions.
